Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid broke up after he allegedly assaulted her mother. Sources say the ex-couple is co-parenting better.
Gigi posted a touching tribute to her dads on Instagram, including Zayn. “Happy Father’s Day, baba. She wrote “I love you” in a photo with her father, Mohammed Hadid.
Next, a close-up of Zayn’s arm next to their daughter’s face was taken. “Khai’s baba!!!” Gigi wrote in white over the image.
Zayn & Gigi’s Co-Parenting Has Improved
Gigi’s mention of Zayn had fans wondering where the exes stand after their complicated break-up. They’re doing better, says one source.
A source said that Gigi is a “hands-on mother” who brings her daughter to set whenever possible.
Gigi and Zayn are “doing the best they can to do co-parenting work,” they said. “Despite being broken up, [they] have a loving and caring relationship […] [and] don’t hate each other,” a source said.
Even though Zayn seems to have reconciled with Gigi, a May report said he was still at odds with her family. Yolanda has calmed down since the incident but hasn’t forgiven Zayn, a source told Life & Style.
Gigi’s mother Yolanda Hadid pressed charges in October 2021 after Zayn allegedly “struck” her at the home he shares with Gigi, who was out of town. They broke up soon after.
Zayn denied assaulting his ex’s mother but pleaded “no contest” It’s not an admission of guilt like pleading guilty. It means you don’t want to defend yourself.
Since then, Zayn and Gigi have kept quiet about co-parenting.
