Armie Hammer’s connection with his separated wife Elizabeth Chambers is getting new light.
According to a statement from his lawyer in December, the Call Me by Your Name star was doing “fantastic” following his stint at the Florida treatment facility.
As far as we know, it was around six months after Vanity Fair first reported on Hammer’s stay that he “left” the centre, according to Hammer’s attorney. Hammer checked into a treatment facility in June 2021, according to three anonymous people who spoke to the site.
In the wake of a People magazine revelation, Hammer and Chambers, his estranged wife of ten years, are said to be “figuring things out as a pair,” despite their divorce set to occur in 2020.
Sources tell E! News that Hammer and Chambers aren’t actively reuniting, despite their efforts to improve their co-parenting relationship. A reliable insider tells E! News exclusively, “They are not getting back together.”
However, the ex-couple is still in touch because of their co-parenting relationship with Harper, 7, and Ford, 4, their two children. The insider responds, “They are communicating,” as if to confirm this. “They’re making co-parenting work because they’re focusing on the kids.”
“They are co-parenting and that’s the limit of their relationship,” a source close to Hammer told E! News.
This is confirmed by a third person with knowledge of the situation.

Bird Bakery’s founder, Chambers, has maintained an active social media presence by posting videos of her children while they were on vacation in the Cayman Islands. After a video of Ford in the kitchen wearing yellow rubber gloves, she wrote, “I cook, he cleans,” in January. At the British West Indies, she dressed Harper and Ford as characters from the Descendants and NASA, respectively, for Halloween.
She and Hammer broke up in July 2020 with identical claims. Back then, they proudly declared: “Thirty years as best friends, soulmates, lovers, and eventually parents.” In the end, we’ve chosen to put our marriage behind us and begin a new chapter together.
According to the couple, “our children and relationship as co-parents” will always come first.
Hammer was accused of rape in March 2021 by Effie, a lady who went by that name. “From day one, Mr. Hammer has maintained that all of his encounters with [Effie]—and every other sexual partner of his for that matter—have been totally consensual, discussed and agreed upon in advance, and mutually participating,” his attorney said in a statement to E! News.
