Ex-police officer arrested outside US Capitol with a fake badge, body armor, BB gun, and high capacity magazines.
US Capitol Police (USCP) officers approached Jerome Felipe after he parked near the building at 5 am on Friday.
The 53-year-old retired NYPD officer showed a fake INTERPOL badge and claimed to be a “criminal investigator”
USCP officers searched Felipe’s 2017 Dodge Challenger and found a BB gun, two ballistic vests, high capacity magazines, and other ammunition. USCP found no real guns.
Investigators don’t know why Felipe parked near the building.
