Chaudhry Qamar Zaman Kaira, a senior of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), stated Wednesday that the PTI-led administration had turned the country into a hotbed of corruption. In an interview with reporters, Kaira stated that in the past, whenever the PPP leaders brought up the issue of escalating corruption in the country, they would immediately begin arguing.
He stated that international organizations have now acknowledged that corruption has increased in the country. “The Prime Minister has been chanting about fighting corruption,” Kiara stated, but in reality, the Prime Minister is doing very little to uproot corrupt practices that are pervasive throughout the country.
According to the PPP leader, according to a worldwide organization, there is no governance or rule of law in the country. While working with former General Musharraf, Kiara made claims that he possessed evidence against opposition leaders, but did nothing to act on such claims.
He claimed that Imran Khan had initiated a campaign against corruption with supposedly misleading slogans. He said that accountability advisor Shahzad Akbar was fired as a result of his dissatisfaction. According to Kaira, the country is engulfed in a catastrophic economic downturn.
