Florence, SC — Jason Roger Pope, a 42-year-old white male who was a local DJ and promoter in South Carolina, also known as DJ Kid, has been charged with allegedly trafficking hundreds of black girls for years. He has been in jail for human trafficking and sex crimes since he was arrested in August.
Pope reportedly faces three cases of human trafficking, three counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct and one count each of abductions, second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor, and encouraging child prostitution. In 2017, Pope reportedly forced four underage girls to engage in sexual acts in his home for money, drugs, or other items. The registered age of the victims was 13 to 17 years.
Last year Pope was charged with double charges of contributing to the crime of a minor, but reportedly pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of double cruelty to children. Meanwhile, police files date back to 2011, where Pope was arrested for sexual misconduct with minors in the past. A 2011 incident report showed that a 13-year-old dad accused her of having sex with her and giving her marijuana and alcohol.
She later found out that Pope had AIDS and that he had given her AIDS. “I suspected a long time ago that things weren’t right out there because I was in and out,” one of his longtime neighbors told the Atlanta Black Star.
“They looked very young, maybe underage.”
In addition, his Facebook page features hundreds of photos of him with different black women, most of whom are in compromising positions. According to a Facebook screenshot, Pope even boasted about it once: “I’m 36 years old with 693 BODIES, WBU? ”
