The best medicine is laughter. When Jodie Sweetin was suffering with her own loss, Bob Saget gave her some wise advice.

He was a man who had to deal with so much loss in his life, and I keep thinking about and expressing that.” A number of people in Bob’s life had died before he was born, including his sisters and other siblings who passed away before he was born, as well as his parents. … But he managed to keep a sense of humour about it.” In order to cope with some of the darker aspects of life, he would try to lighten the mood by making inappropriate jokes. “What are your thoughts about it?”
That’s something I’ll always remember, and it’s something I find myself doing now: dealing with situations via laughter.”

For some time now, Sweetin has been ruminating on Saget’s passing and his influence on her life. You suddenly realise how much of a teacher or mentor someone was when they pass away, Fuller House star Lori Loughlin stated. So much of his authenticity, friendliness, and willingness to assist others had an impression on me, I realized.
On January 9, Sagest was discovered dead in his hotel room in Orlando, Florida, at the age of 65. Sweeten and other of her former co-stars from the show attended his funeral, which took place less than a week later. Said Dancing With the Stars alum John Stamos, Dave Coulier and Candace Cameron Bure: “It was a great service.”
In her own words, “I didn’t get up to speak at his burial because that was obviously for his wife and his children,” she recounted, adding that Saget’s pals shared memories about the late comedian. “I think the finest gift and send-off that we could’ve given Bob was all these guys gathering around and laughing and telling stories.”
