This tutorial explains why software testing is a good career choice and what skills software testers should have:
A Job in Software Testing? How do I get into Software Testing? Can I find work in QA Testing?
We get a lot of these kinds of questions. There is a lot of overlap between these questions.
If you’re considering a job in software testing, you may assess your strengths and weaknesses in that field by reading our guide, “Choosing a Career in Software Testing.”
advantages of a career as a software tester
In our Job Guidance area, I found a recruitment post and was astonished by the long list of perks offered by the firm. A well-known UK corporation was looking to fill the post of “Software Test Team Leader.”
The following perks were included in the job description by the employer for new hires:
Our in-house training division will take care of your personal and professional growth, as well as unequaled prospects for career advancement. You can expect excellent technical training.”
The benefits our company provides include a bonus scheme, pension, private medical care, long-term health care insurance, life insurance, a share plan, discounted childcare vouchers, and flexible working arrangements. All regular employees are entitled to 25 days of vacation time, with the option to purchase additional vacation time.
Our active sports & social team offers a wide range of activities such as a summer party, fireworks show, quiz evenings, and a wide range of sporting events in order to reflect on our fundamental values.
Wow! What else can a worker ask for in terms of benefits?
Are the glory days coming again?
While the economy has slowed, some firms have taken advantage, reasoning that they are already paying employees enough to do the job, so why provide further benefits?
Some workers accepted a job offer without much thought since they were desperate for one.
Things have shifted dramatically since then.
Since the worst economic crisis is over, there are a lot of work opportunities accessible. In order to attract the top employees, firms will have to rethink their recruitment strategies.
This employee benefit package, on the other hand, isn’t the same for every business. Some small businesses just can’t afford to offer all of these perks for their employees. Keeping up with cutting-edge technology necessitates a more imaginative approach to employee perks.
Even tiny businesses may attract top talent with basic perks and additional bonuses, depending on the job type and location. Significant innovation is taking place in the deep tech sector.
We can only hope that it recovers and thrives once more.

I will reiterate my suggestion to “know your interests before pursuing any career”.
A career in Software QA or any other profession without considering your interests is a mistake that may cost you both your interest and your job.
Then this advice/guideline will help you get a decent Software QA job if you know your abilities, skills, and interests.
If you are a recent college graduate or will be soon, you should prepare properly for some Software Testing techniques. You should also learn Manual Testing.
Have hands-on expertise with tools like Bugzilla, HP ALM, and Jira.
Joining a Software Testing class or institute can provide you with a good start and direction for preparation. You can enroll in a 4-month Software Testing course or a 6-month to 1-year diploma.
During your course, keep practicing. This will help you when you go for interviews after your course.
Prepare for a crash course to obtain an idea of Software Testing principles for newbies. Because you have IT background, be prepared for some challenging inquiries.
For any software job, relevant experience is preferred, especially in Software Testing and QA. It can be a software testing tool or training from reputable institutes.
Fake experiences can harm your career. Work hard and maximize your abilities instead of wasting time on phantom experiences.
Finally, if you assume Software QA is a vocation that everyone can pursue, you are mistaken! Better forget this idea.
Aside from software testing principles, SDLF testing demands creative thinking, analytical skills, and some programming language skills.
