Nick Cannon may stop having children. The TV personality is considering a vasectomy after having seven children, including four in the last year and a half.
It’s one of those things when you’re blessed with children—and as we all know, I’ve been through a lot—that you find solace,” Nick said on E! News Daily Pop.
He confirmed he’s taking steps to have no more children, planned or not.
“The comedian added, “I’ve had my vasectomy consultation.” “I’m not looking to completely populate the Earth, but I am looking forward to caring for and loving my current children.”
Why Nick Cannon Is Done Having Kids
Nick explained his decision since he’s always wanted a large family. America’s Got Talent host says juggling so many kids is difficult.
“I feel guilty about not spending enough time with my kids, as we all do because we’re always working,” he said. “Especially when they’re young.”
Nick became a seventh-time dad last year when Alyssa Scott gave birth to Zen. The baby died of cancer months after birth.
Nick and Abby De La Rosa had twin sons Zion and Zillion that year. His daughter Powerful Queen was born a year before. He and Brittany Bell share the child. Golden, 4, is their son.
Nick has twin 11-year-olds with Mariah Carey. They married in 2008.
Nick’s expecting his 8th child. Brie Tiesi is pregnant with their first child.
Nick hinted last fall he may be done having children after taking an abstinence vow. During an appearance on the Drink Champs podcast, he said, “I’m stepping away, getting focused, going within, and getting celibate.”
“Enough kids, frolicking. “I’m fine now,” he said. “Trying.” I’m not perfect.” Nick added he hoped to remain celibate until the following year.
