When it comes to Chipotle Queso, you’ll know that most homemade queso is created with processed cheese, canned tomatoes, and green chillies. These ingredients are melted together in a slow cooker.
This copycat dish mimics Chipotle Mexican Grill’s emphasis on using only the best ingredients and cooking them by hand, so it’s a good fit.
Even though the list of Chipotle queso ingredients is large, preparing your own queso dip is a breeze. You’ll need a dutch oven and a whisk for this recipe.
Dip your tacos, burritos, and bowls in this chipotle queso dip to take Chipotle’s flavour home with you.
No one can deny that the queso served at Chipotle is controversial. Customers complained that the natural components used in the restaurant’s queso didn’t taste anything like the queso they were used to eating. When the restaurant re-introduced queso to their menu, it was enough for me to re-test, replicate and post the recipe! In the case of Panda Express’s General Tsao Chicken, I was not impressed.
It doesn’t matter if you’re serving burritos, tacos, or bowls; a Mexican buffet is elevated by the addition of cheese. In preparation for the big game, queso dip is a tasty and easy-to-serve appetiser. Try this Chipotle queso copycat recipe and compare it to both the restaurant version and the crockpot version of the queso. Make this creamy queso dip, and we think you’ll love it!
